Pre-season friendly

                                                   Wolves Casuals v Tividale

Following their impressive showing against Halesowen, Tividale visited Brinsford Stadium to play Wolves Casuals. What promised to be a 'blood and thunder' local derby turned into a romp for the visitors.Within five minutes Bellingham had fired the home side in front as Tividale took time to get into their stride. With Casuals looking good to start with, the game was turned on its' head as the visitors took total control with a pressing game and by the break, were leading 3-1. Casuals took the half-time break on the pitch( a la Phil Brown and his Hull City side ) and resumed the second half fired up somewhat and Bellingham reduced the arrears on the hour. With the game opening up and Casuals looking somewhat disorganised,Tividale were looking like scoring with every break as their wide men found acres of space. It was no surprise then when they scored three more before the final whistle.

Tividales' quick passing game was key to their win while Casuals wanted to beat three players before passing.Having seen both teams on numerous occasions last season,I would think both will be up their come the end of the season.

Pre-Season Friendly

Tividale FC v Halesowen Town FC              Pre-season friendly

On a sunny summers' day Tividale entertained their Northern Premier League Div 1(South) opponents Halesowen Town before a decent crowd. The home side were anything but overawed by their more illustrious opponents and had more possession early on using their pacy wide men to good effect and were unlucky to go in a goal down. That said, the goal was superbly crafted with a cross-field pass to the number 10 who skipped pass two defenders to score at the near post.

Tividale gained a deserved equaliser early in the second half after a superb cross-cum-shot rebounded off the cross-bar to be readily fired into the net.The rest of the game followed much the same pattern as the first half with honours even.

On this showing, Tividale should make a bold show in the forthcoming Alliance season whilst Halesowen  too looked good.

Update to previous report.

In the last report-Tipton Town v Pelsall Villa-I deferred from naming names concerning the horrendous incident which caused the premature abandonement. As names have already been revealed in the local press I am on safe ground.

Quoting the Express and Star evening newspaper, " Chaos reigned as Pelsall Villa's friendly at Tipton Town was abandoned after visiting skipper Ashley Bellingham head-butted an opposing player. The incident occurred 72 minutes into the game  when Bellingham first brought down Tipton winger Chris Rabone, before head-butting him as he got up. Match officials were left with no option but to call the game off to protect the safety of both players and spectators. Pelsall boss Craig Timmins later apologised for the incident on Twitter and said he would be dealing with the incident in-house."

There were a few choice tweets suggesting he picked Rabone for a reason-he was the smallest player on the pitch !

Mr Bellingham is number 5.

Good game ends in violence and chaos.

Tipton Town v Pelsall Villa. Pre-season 'friendly'

What started as a highly competitive match was ended prematurely by the home manager following an assault on one of his players. For obvious reasons I can't comment on specifics as there could be possible legal proceedings to follow. It's a pity as it was a really good game until then, as pre-season games go.

The immediate aftermath of the assault.

Tipton Town 5 Pelsall Villa 3(abandoned after 80 minutes).

Proper Football is back !

AFC Wulfrunians v Black Country Rangers. Pre-season friendly

Put simply,Wulfs were put to the sword by an energetic Rangers side who scored early on and never really looked back. Wulfs were seemingly lacking a yard of pace and were not seriously involved.Full credit to Rangers who could be a big threat in West Mids Prem this season(that's if they don't fall away as alarmingly as last season).
